Princeton took a bold swing at the faculty tenure system by firing Joshua Katz (professor of classics) today, nominally over a 2018 investigation into a (consensual) relationship with a student, but apparently over a political post Academic Freedom Alliance and the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education). This comes on the heels of an arbitration agreement against the University of Central Florida in the case of (Profess0r) Charles Negy.
Alas, the tenure facade is crumbling … and the elite academy with it.
