In the shadow of the Kremlin’s foray into the Ukraine, Justin Trudeau has successfully consolidated emergency powers in Canada on Monday. Among the major US news engines, only Newsmax covered this breath-taking power grab (deep down their main page), nominally in defense against the “Freedom Convoy”.
There are those who refuse to see the parallels to the rise of Adolf Hitler to power in Nazi Germany, arguing credibly that the Holocaust was a singular point in history that resulted in the torture and murder of an obscene number of Jews, gypsies, POWs, and others.
Those people, I’m afraid, may only recognize a new Holocaust from the inside of an oven.
Ari, my big thing: WHAT DO WE DO? We know the situation. And definitely, I think of the parallels - including that Mr H got into power on about the same % of voters as Mr T. But . . . that isn't core for me. WHAT DO WE DO? Lots of ideas and approaches. Will they work. "100% of the balls you don't swing at, you don't hit."

Seems that I spoke too soon ... the Canadian Senate apparently didn't support Trudeau's actions for now.
