Tablet magazine describes a frustrating turn for American academia reminiscent of the old Soviet-style ideological imperatives,. Alas, I have seen a similar trend at my own institution, even in the science and engineering disciplines.
Higher Ed’s New Work Loyalty Oaths [1]:
